In this double-blind trial, the combined therapy of EPL with a low-dose of Lovastatin effectively decreased LDL-cholesterol. Furthermore, EPL reduced the ALT activity as well as spontaneous and induced platelet aggregation which were increased after longterm Lovastatin therapy.
